01-ORGANIZATION & COMMUNICATION

  • Leadership, organization and communication in the Emergency Department and in the prehospital arena, during normal circumstances and in the setting of major events

 

 

 

02-CARDIAC ARREST & ARRHYTHMIAS

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation for all age groups
  • Management of tachy- & bradyarrhythmias

 

 

 

 

03-AIRWAY & PROCEDURAL SEDATION

  • Basic and advanced airway management for all age groups
  • Procedural sedation

 

 

 

04-BREATHING

  • Investigation and treatment of patients with dyspnea

08-EXPOSURE & ABNORMAL BLOOD TEST RESULTS

  • Dermatology, management of burns, hyper- and hypothermia
  • Hypo- and hypernatremia, -kalemia, renal failure, abnormal liver function tests, anemia, thrombocytopenia, febrile neutropenia

  • Mental Status Examination, management of patients with depression & psychosis

  • Systematic EKG and blood gas interpretation

18-ULTRASOUND

  • Basic knowledge and skills of point-of-care ultrasound focusing on examination of the heart, inferior vena cava, perihepatic/perisplenic & suprapubic areas, abdominal aorta, apical pleura, lung and lower extremity DVT examination

 

 

 

19-RADIOLOGY

  • Choice of imaging, adverse events (e.g. contrast nephropathy, radiation injury)
  • Basic image interpretation: chest X-ray, head CT, spine, extremities
